He was born in 1990, Minsk.

Since works as a teacher of the Woodwind Instruments Department of Belarusian State Academy of Music.

Since 2103 he was an artist of Honored Group of National Academic Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus.

He is versatile musician performing as soloist as well as ensemble and orchestral musician. 1st degree laureate of XVIII International Competition of Young Performers named after E.Coca in Kishinev (June 21-26, 2012). Bronze medal owner of IV Youth Delphic Games of the CIS countries (2006), Laureate of Minsk State Executive Committee Prize (June, 2011).

He is a scholarship (2002) and Gran Prix (2007) holder of Prize (2012) from the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the support of talented youth. Laureate of Competition named after V.Kharitonov among the students of the Woodwind Instruments Department of Belarusian State Academy of music (2nd place, 2010). During his studies in the academy received the scholarship from the President of the Republic of Belarus.

He is a participant of concert programmes of State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus and Orchestra of Belarusian State Television and Radio Company, chapel Sonorus, plays of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus.

N.Petrov participated in master-classes of the Fund “New Names” in Moscow of the Professor from Moscow State Conservatory named after P.Tchaikovsky R.Bagdasarian (November 21-30, 2011).

He had solo performances in St.Petersburg State Philharmonic Society named after D.Shostakovich (May 8, 2012), Belarusian State Philharmonic Society (July 2, 2011, July 2, 2012), Kharkov Philharmonic Society (October 20, 2012). Since 2011 was a member of the first classic saxophone quartet Saxas. As a member of quartet – 3rd degree laureate of 2nd Republican Creative Radio Competition “Young talents of Belarus” (2012), Gran Prix of IV Republican Competition of Woodwind Instruments Performance named after I.Dobrovolsky (May, 2013), 1st degree diploma of I Open Festival-Competition “Saxophone Holyday” (2013), live stream at the radio “Culture”.

Solo-programme of quartet “Bach performs jazz” was performed many times at the hall of Palace of Culture of Trade Unions. He also performed in the Big Hall of the academy and in the Small Hall of Belarusian State Philharmonic Society.

Among his graduates there are laureates of international competitions: G.Khoronenko and V.Kulesh.
