He was born on April 16, 1949 in Nizhnie Sergi (Russia).

Since 1980, he was a teacher of Viola, Cello and Double Bass Department of the Belarusian State Conservatory named after A.Lunacharsky (part-time worker), since 2011 – as a main job. Since 1987, he was an Associate Professor, since 2002 – Professor of Viola, Cello and Double Bass Department (now String Bow Instruments Department).

From 1969 till 1971, he was an artist of the Symphony Orchestra of the Chelyabinsk Theatre of Opera and Ballet (Russia).

From 1973 till 1976 – an artist of the Ensemble of the Moscow Union of Music Ensembles (Russia).

From 1976 till 1980 – a piano accompanist of the double bass group of the Orchestra of the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of the Republic of Belarus.

From 1980 till 2011, a piano accompanist of the contrabass group of the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus.

He is a member of the Belarusian Union of Musical Workers, the head of the Association of Belarusian double bass players of the Belarusian Union of Musical Workers.

He has the Certificate of Honor and Badge of Honor from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, Certificates and Gratitude from the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society and the Belarusian State Academy of Music, gratitude and certificates for pedagogical mastery.

Conducts many concerts. He has video and audio recordings in the Fund of the National State TV and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus.

Among his graduates there are laureates and Diploma holders of international and national competitions and festivals: S.Anashkevich, D.Levonyuk, P.Khimenkov, D.Savchik, E.Matskevich, V.Kucheiko, P.Sidorenko, E.Orlov, A.Stvol etc.

He is a jury member of republican, national and international competitions. He arranges master-classes in foreign countries, was a member of international symposiums of double bass players.

He is an author of transcriptions and arrangements for double bass compositions by Belarusian composers, as well as an editor and first performer of compositions written specially for him.
