He was born 1985 in Neviansk (Sverdlovsk region, Russia).

Since 2008 worked as a teacher and choirmaster of subject-cycle commission of vocal-choir disciplines of Republican Gymnasium-college of Belarusian State Academy of Music.

Under the leadership of S.Klimanov were prepared and held numerous concert events with exemplary children choir “Singing musicians” and with children choir “Bells” that were held on Minsk stages as well as concert stages of other Belarusian cities. Success of choirmaster activity is signed by awards:

II degree laureate diploma of open competition in Grodno (February 2010) was awarded to exemplary children choir “Singing musicians”;

II degree laureate diploma of I Belarusian competition-festival of national choir music “Rekha” (Minsk, December 2010) was awarded to children choir “Bells”.

From 2008 till 2011 studied in Postgraduate School of Belarusian State Academy of Music. The sphere of his scientific interests is connected with scientific topic “Cantata-oratorical genre in works of modern Belarusian composers: imagery-context and compositional peculiarities”. He participated in the range of international and republican scientific conferences, seminars. Has a range of scientific publications.

In 2011 S.Klimanov was awarded scholarship from the President of the Republic of Belarus for postgraduate students and young scientists.

Since 2013 became teacher of the Choir Conducting Department of the Academy of Music.

In 2013-2014 became the leader of chamber choir “Polyphony”, the creative achievements of which were awarded 3rd degree laureate diploma at international choir festival in Derry, Ireland (November 2013).

In 2014-2019 was acting director of Gymnasium-college. In 2019-2021 was vice-director of the special cycle of Gymnasium-college.

S.Klimanov is often invited as a jury member of republican and international creative competitions, held in the Republic of Belarus as well as abroad.

Since September 2020 S.Klimanov became creative supervisor of exemplary formation “Choir of boys and young men named after I.Zhuravlenko”. His choirmaster activity is aimed at enrichment of choir repertoire, has high attention to didactic and creative value of performed compositions. Under his supervision exemplary “Choir of boys and young men named after I.Zhuravlenko” holds active concert activity performing at the best concert staged of the Republic of Belarus as well as abroad.

On December 2020 “Choir of boys and young men named after I.Zhuravlenko” became winner (Gran Prix holder) of X International competition “Winter fairy-tale” (St.Petersburg, Russia).
