The Faculty of Professional Development (from January 1, 2012 – the Faculty of Professional Development and Staff Retraining) was established at the Belarusian State Conservatory on May 5, 1976. It is one of the most important structural divisions of the Belarusian State Academy of Music. The activity of the faculty is aimed at ensuring professional development and meeting the cognitive needs of executives and teaching staff at all levels of professional music education, as well as teaching staff of education institutions in the field of humanities (of appropriate qualifications), representatives of concert organizations and everyone interested in culture and art. The faculty conducts a qualification exam when passing certification for awarding (confirming) the highest qualification category (for teaching staff).
