The Research Department was established on February 1, 2013.
This division performs the following functions:
- coordinates the implementation of scientific activities by departments, structural divisions of the Academy, temporary research teams, students, master students and postgraduates of the Academy;
- monitors the implementation of scientific activity plans;
- participates in the organization of international scientific events held by the Academy (conferences, seminars, symposiums, etc.), collects and transmits materials of these events to the editorial and publishing department for publication;
- provides substantive content of the official website of the Academy, prompt update of news pages, the electronic student newspaper “Akademiya muzyki glazami studentov”, the rules of admission to the Academy, etc.;
- on the basis of the department, the scientific and theoretical journal “Vescі Belaruskaj dzyarzhaўnaj akademіі muzykі” is being prepared for publication. The issues of the journal are formed twice a year. The publication was included by the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus in the list of scientific publications of the Republic of Belarus for publishing the results of dissertation research.
At various times in the department worked: Candidate of Art Criticism, Associate Professor N. V. Macaberidze (Head of the Department in 2016-2019), Associate Professor E.V.Lisova (Head of the Problem Research Music Laboratory in 2008-2012, Head of the Department in 2013-2016, in 2019-2020), researchers and specialists N.S. Sushkevich, I.K.Aslyozova, L.G.Luz’ko, V.Y.Makarevich. Since September 1, 2020, the Head of the Research Department is the Candidate of Art Criticism, Associate Professor Liliya Fail’evna Barankevich.
Currently, the Research Department consists of:
