Grants

Grants from the President of the Republic of Belarus in science, education, healthcare, and culture were allocated to teachers of Belarusian State Academy of Music for the implementation of the following projects:

 

2018 – grant for conducting a series of concert programs “Treasures of Belarusian choral music”.

Issued to Associate Professor of the Department of Choral Conducting, Associate Professor Inessa Bodyako.

The grant was associated with the implementation of an innovative project to promote the achievements of Belarusian musical culture of the twentieth century, as well as improve the professional skills of talented youth. The implementation of the creative project contributed to strengthening the status of Belarusian State Academy of Music as the leading music university of the republic, a major center for training professional singers and choral conductors, promoting the creativity of young talents in Belarus, introducing wide circles of Belarusian youth to the best traditions of national choral art, and popularizing choral singing.

 

2020 – grant for the implementation of the musical project “Images of War and Peace in the Works of Belarusian Composers.”

Issued to the senior teacher of the Department of Orchestral Conducting and Instrumentation of Belarusian State Academy of Music, Maxim Rassokha.

The series of concerts “Images of War and Peace in the Works of Belarusian Composers” – a creative project dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War – contributed to the support of the talented youth of the republic, the development of traditions of wind music in Belarus, the enrichment of the system of continuous education in the field with new creative materials academic musical art and presentation of the achievements of national musical culture. The innovation of the project was the collection and creation of arrangements for a brass band, as well as a concert interpretation of little-known works by Belarusian composers of the 20th – 21st centuries for a wide range of Belarusian listeners.

 

Grants for events to prepare young musicians from the students of Belarusian State Academy of Music for international and national competitions, festivals and concerts were received by:

2020 – Professor of the Bayan and Accordion Department, Professor, Honored Artist of the BSSR Nikolay Sevryukov;

2021 – Head of the Bayan and Accordion Department, Associate Professor Alexander Shuvalov;

2022 – Head of the Department of Special Piano, Associate Professor Vladimir Dulov.

The role of these creative projects was to identify and support talented youth in the Republic of Belarus, test the creative skills of young musicians within the framework of republican and international creative competitions, and accumulate a concert repertoire with a high level of performance complexity. During the implementation of projects, methodological assistance was provided on an ongoing basis to music colleges and schools of the Republic of Belarus in the specialties “Bayan and accordion”, “Special piano”, and the creativity of young talented musicians of the country was promoted.

 

2023 – grant for the implementation of the creative project “String Quartets of Belarus. Pages of History” – a series of concerts by the string quartet of the educational institution “Belarusian State Academy of Music”.

Issued to Ekaterina Pukst, Associate Professor of the Department of String Bow Instruments.

The creative project contributed to the support of the talented youth of the republic, the development of the traditions of quartet music-making in Belarus, the enrichment of the system of continuous education in the field of academic musical art with new creative materials and the presentation of the achievements of the national performing school. The innovativeness of the project consisted in reviving the interest of professional and amateur audiences in quartet music-making, enriching the repertoire with works by new contemporary Belarusian authors and arrangements of previously created opuses for string quartet. The project was a powerful incentive to popularize the works of Belarusian composers of the 20th–21st centuries among a wide range of domestic music lovers of the academic tradition.

2024 – grant for the implementation of the creative project “Music. Talents. Co-creation” – a series of joint concert performances by the student chamber orchestra of Belarusian State Academy of Music with talented students from regional educational institutions in the field of culture of the Republic of Belarus as soloists.

Issued to the senior teacher of the Department of String Bow Instruments, Nikolai Teran.

The project will contribute to the support and disclosure of the creative potential of talented youth from regional educational institutions in the field of culture of the Republic of Belarus, the development of traditions of orchestral and solo music-making in the field of academic musical art and in the context of interaction between educational institutions within the framework of the scientific-educational-creative cluster in the field of professional music education. One of the objectives of the creative project is the presentation and promotion of the achievements of young performers – the future generation of national musical culture.
