Born on July 18, 1949 in Minsk (Belarus).

Since 1976, he has been working as a teacher at the Piano Department of the Belarusian State Conservatory named after A.V.Lunacharsky. From 1991 to the present – Head of the Piano Department of the Belarusian State Academy of Music. Boris Spektor conducts classes at the Professional Development and Staff Retraining Faculty of the Belarusian State Academy of Music.

Member of the Union of Musical Workers (1988).

Laureate of International competitions in the category “solo” (International competition “Musica Classica”, Ruza, 1st prize, 2015) and “Teacher – student” (8th International competition of educational programs “Music and Word”, Moscow, 2016).

As a soloist, ensemble player and conductor he performed in 140 concerts in the Republic of Belarus and abroad. He performed in an ensemble with: L.Akhremchik (piano), L.Ter-Minasyan (piano), V.Zhivalevsky (cymbals), E.Gridyushko (guitar), E.Osnovich (violin).

A musical event was the performance of the cycle “All Sonatas by L.Beethoven” for violin and piano (2003) with E.Osnovich.

Over the years of work at the Academy of Music, he trained 155 specialists, including 15 laureates and Diploma winners of Republican and International piano competitions, including laureates of International competitions E.Karpievich, M.Mirskaya, N.Murzina, A.Petsevich, A.Pruzhanovsky, A.Dernovsky, Li Xuan, A.Dernovsky, D.Buyan, S.Chebotareva and others.

He is a member and chairman of the jury of Republican and International competitions held in the cities of the Republic of Belarus, Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Astana, Nizhny Novgorod, Petrozavodsk.

Author of reports at Republican and International research and practice conferences on the history, theory and methodology of piano art; review reports on PhD and doctoral theses.

Awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Minsk City Executive Committee (2002), the Badge of Honor of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus (2004), and the Francysk Skorina Medal (2012). He has received encouragement and gratitude from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian State Academy of Music, the Belarusian Union of Musical Workers (Medal “For the way of music industry development”).
