Vera Shnayder was born on September 5, 1988 in Mogilev, Belarus.

Since 2019 she held the position of a senior lecturer in the Department of Music History and Belarusian Musical Studies at the Belarusian State Academy of Music, in 2021 she has been promoted to the position of an associate professor.

Research interests focus on the history of Western European music, integrative tendencies in contemporary the Eastern European composer’s work.

Vera Snayder is a musicologist, who was the host of more than 50 concerts, music festivals, competition performances like Competition named after. M. Yelsky (2013), Piano Competition “Minsk-2014”, “Music for Peace” (2015), Festival of Piano Art (2016), Festival “Slavic Meetings” (since 2015), “Easter Festival” (2017), etc.

Since 2011 she took part in the international music project “Young Voices” as a musicologist (author and director T.Ostapenko). The Mir and Nesvizh castles, the Loshitsa Manor, the National Art Museum, the Vankovichi House, and the Museum of the History of Theatrical and Musical Culture all hosted 20 concerts during the project.

Vera Shnayder is the author of reports on international and republican research conferences. Member of the team for the creation of a facsimile reference book “Poviaz’ mastactvau”: chamber vocal works of Belarusian composers of the 20th century based on the poetry of Yanka Kupala and Yakub Kolas. – Minsk, 2017. The presentation of the publication took place in 2017 as part of the XXII International scientific conference in memory of L.Mukharinskaya, during the International. congress “500 years of Belarusian printing”, live on the radio station “Kultura”.

Vera Shnayder was awarded the Letter of Gratitude by the Rector of the Belarusian State Academy of Music (2013), the Letter of Gratitude by the Director of the National Art Museum (2016).
