Born on November 3, 1977 in Minsk, Belarus.
She is a scholarship holder of the Special fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the support of talented youth (2002).
Since 2005 works in Belarusian State Academy of Music as a teacher, since 2008 – as a senior teacher, since 2014 – as an associate professor.

Conducts educational courses of “Solfeggio”, “Musical Analysis of instruments” to students with specialty “Singing” and “Choreographic Art”. Conducts lectures in special courses, as well as lectures and seminars on discipline “Methodology of writing scientific methodological work” for the students with specialty “Wind instruments” and “Bowed instruments”, individual classes for disciplines “Pedagogic practice” for specialty “Composition and Musicology”, as well as “Analysis of musical works” and “Reading of scores” for specialty “Arts (musicology)”.

She is a scientific supervisor of Students’ scientific and creative community as well as editor of web-journal “Academy of Music from the students’ view”. She is an organizer of numerous scientific and creative projects of the students of Belarusian State Academy of Music including International student scientific-practical organizations. She is a member of piano and composition and musicology department, the secretary of the council of Belarusian State Academy of Music.

Sphere of scientific research interests of A. Tikhomirova is connected to the area of theoretical musicology, methodology of teaching modern musical-theoretical desciplines.
