He was born on May 11, 1951 in Petrevich (Brest region).

He is Associate Professor (1999), member of Belarusian Composers Union (1979), Belarusian Union of Musical Workers (2001).

N.Litvin was awarded Certificates of Honor of USSR (1986), Central Committee of All-Union Lenin Young Communist League (1986), Politic Execution of Belarusian Military Region (1988), Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus (2001), Belarusian State Academy of Music (2016, 2017).

Since 1979 teaches instrumentation, score reading, arrangement at the Orchestral Conduction Department of Belarusian State Conservatory, since 1988 – senior teacher of the Composition Department, since 1994 – Associate Professor of the Instrumentation, Arrangement and Score reading Department. Conducts lecture course “Instrumentation and learning rare instruments”.

Among his students (more than 70) – Professor of BAM V.Zhivalevsky, laureate of international competitions, Associate Professor of Belarusian State Academy of Music E.Gridiushko, Associate Professor of Minsk State Pedagogic University V.Buben, conductor of Belarusian State Academic Musical Theatre, teacher of Belarusian State Academy of Music N.Makarevich, conductor of chamber orchestra of Grodno Chappelle, Associate Professor V.Bormotov etc.

He participated in republican and international councils, plenums, festivals, competitions (Minsk, Molodechno, Grodno, Kiev, Kishinev, Tallinn, Gory). He is laureate of republican competition of composers (1982). Author of obligatory compositions for international and republican competitions. Held three concerts: Minsk (2001), Baranovichi (2002), Grodno (2011). He is a member of television and radio programmes of Belarusian Television and Radio Company.
