The first composition of the Opera Studio Orchestra consisted mainly of students of the Orchestra Faculty. By 1975, a full-fledged music group had formed, and since 2012 it included professional musicians from theaters and concert organizations in Minsk. Currently, the “core” of the Orchestra is made up of artists of the Orchestra of the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus and the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society, among which are:
- Laureate of the International Competition Sergey German;
- Laureate of the Chamber Ensembles Competition Yevgeny Miklyaev;
- Laureate of International Competitions Natalia Murzina;
- Laureate of the National Competition Maksim Plashinsky;
- Laureate of Republican Competitions, Scholarship holder of the V.Spivakov Foundation Elena Vagner.
The first Conductor of the professional Opera Studio Orchestra was Walter Mnatsakanov. He was replaced by graduates of the Academy of Music: Andrei Ivanov, Aleksandr Vysotsky, Ivan Kostyakhin, Vladimir Ovodok, Oleg Lesun, Yury Karavaev. Since 2022, Professor, People’s Artist of Belarus A.Anisimov also works with the Orchestra.
The following premieres were prepared with the professional Opera Studio Orchestra:
- 2012 – “Tragicomic Rendition or Comitragic Singing of the Opera “Jubilee” by S.Cortes” (Conductor-Producer T.Tretyakova, Director-Producer A.Motornaya, Director of the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus O.Buravleva).
- 2013 – I.Strauss. Operetta “The Bat” (Directors O.Buravleva, A.Motornaya, Conductor M.Tretyakova).
- 2016 – Symphonic fantasy “Lucia” (based on the novel “The Bride of Lammermoor” by W.Scott and the opera “Lucia di Lammermoor” by G.Donizetti (Director M.Izvorska-Elizaryeva, Conductor V.Ovodok).
- 2016 – Performance based on W.A.Mozart’s works “Seven Brides and One Groom” (Director A.Motornaya, Conductor O.Lesun).
- 2017 – M.Ravel’s opera “Child and Magic” (Director A.Motornaya, Conductor A.Vysotsky).
- 2022 – Fantasy “Crazy Day” based on the opera “The Marriage of Figaro” by W.A.Mozart (Director I.Krikunova, Conductor V.Ovodok).
- 2022 – N.A.Rimsky-Korsakov. Opera “Mozart and Salieri” (Director I.Krikunova, Conductor A.Anisimov).
