T.Slabodchikova was born on December 17, 1952 in Kostiukovichi (Mogilev region, BSSR).
Associate Professor of the Choir Conducting Department of Belarusian State Academy of Music, the leader of choir “Academy” of National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus. She graduated from Mogilev Music School named after N.Rimsky-Korsakov (1972), Belarusian State Conservatory named after A.Lunacharsky (1977), Probation Assistantship in Moscow State Conservatory named after P.Tchaikovsky (1977-1979).
She’s been working in the Academy for 49 years.
For the years of work she’s trained more than 100 specialists that are working in music schools and colleges, State choir formations in the Republic of Belarus as well as abroad (Russia, Canada, the USA, Israel, Germany, China). More than 70 choirmasters work with choirs including Exemplary. Children-youth choir “Lira” became Honored choir of the Republic. Many choirmasters that are graduates of class of T.Slabodchikova with their choir formations, are laureates of different competition (from regional to international), golden and other awards owners, Grand Prix, diplomas of various degrees, are marked with awards from the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Culture etc.
Simultaneously with the work at the Department from 1979 till 1990 worked at social beginnings with chamber choir of the Faculty of Belarusian State Conservatory. The choir annually performed with concerts in halls of the conservatory, philharmonic society, Cinema House in the different cities of the Republic. The choir programme was compelled from compositions from Renaissance composers, cantatas of I.Bach, chamber vocal-choir competitions of young Belarusian and modern foreign composers.
T.Slabodchikova is the author of the course Programme “Theory and history of vocal choir art”, that has been read for students more than 10 years, “Programme for training of Chinese students for education in Graduate School of Belarusian Sate Academy of Music”, holds lectures at the Faculty of Personal Development and Staff Retraining.
For many years she’s been course leader, member of the Faculty Council, Member of the State Commissions for the speciality at the Department, constantly becomes the Head of State Qualification Commissions of Musical Colleges of the Republic.
The peculiarity of characteristic of this musician is that alongside with pedagogic activity her professional activity is reflected in choir “Academy” (1980) where she works on the social beginnings demonstrating dedication to the work and hot interest in necessity of choir deal as aesthetically developing, pedagogical and uniting source for social development. In the edition “Belarusian Science” in 2017 was published her book about “Academy” choir of National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus “Choir Synergy”. Concert activity of this formation was about 15-25 concerts a year. Mostly concerts are held with explanations of the supervisor which highlights its educational character.
The stages of choir performances are halls of institutions of the Academy of Sciences, schools, concert halls of Minsk and the Republic, concert halls of many USSR countries, the CIS countries and other countries (Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, France, Holland, Spain, Denmark, Finland, England, Austria, Greece).
The choir of T.Slobodchikova is laureate of numerous city, republican festivals of people’s art. The choir is also 1st degree diploma, silver and bronze medal owner of international competitions, special prizes “For best interpretation”. For the propaganda of Russian Choir Art the choir was awarded certificate from the Bolshoi Theatre of USSR and certificate from the Union of the Composers of USSR.
Since the beginning of choir’s work big methodological work is made on its’ basis (propaganda of choir art, personal training of choirmasters of the Republic and teachers of music schools).
On “Academy” choir basis were held master-classes and performances with the participation of Italian, Russian, French, German, English musicians. Reply master-classes in these countries were also held by T.Slabodchikova. They were also held in Mogilev, Mozyr, Gomel, Lida, Minsk,
T.Slabodchikova performed in Belarusian radio, television, in periodical publications and scientific publications (Belarusian Encyclopedia, Grodno State Pedagogic University, Belarusian State Academy of Music) with conversations about history of choir art and its modern state and existing problems. She regularly participates in the work of jury of city, regional, republican and international festivals.
She is the author of idea, script developer and active participant of Republican seminar-practicum on choir singing, creative supervisors of which were People’s Artist of USSR Professor V.B.Minin and Honored Artist of Russian Professor V. Semeniuk (2008, 2011, 2014), organized by the Ministry of Culture, Belarusian State Academy of Music and Council of Musical Workers. Considering the choir upbringing as the main source of educational work T.Slabodchikova puts a lot of effort into its activation in the Republic. The festivals of choral songs are the example of it. In 2015 she organized and held Republican promotion that finished with Gala concert. The aim of this promotion was not only to give honors to the 70th anniversary of the Victory bur also to awake choral forces of the Republic, to give them impulse, to show the power of the choir. More than 2000 performers of different age and choir formation took part at the festival from different parts of the country, Symphony Orchestra of Belarusian State Philharmonic Society. Conductors were representatives of different generations from Minsk and other cities of Belarus. Concert programme included best examples of choir music – folk and classical, for children and adults. During the preparation of “Choral veche” was learnt big and significant repertoire, was made a range of new compositions for Symphony Orchestra, artists of choir got acquainted with the range of conductors and conductors checked their forces with work with big performing composition, many independent singers performed with orchestra for the first time. Choirs demonstrated their organization – in condition of three rehearsals this scale event was flawless. Same promotion was held in 2017 with even wider circle of participants (2500) and master-classes with regional cities of Belarus. In Circle table Resolution “Choral veche” was marked:
“Choral veche” wishes continuation and wishes to become beautiful tradition on our Earth and hopes on understanding and state support.
In Spring 2018 was held another concert of T.Slabodch T.Slabodchikova ikova’s class – festival that continued more than 3 hours, in which participated choir “Academy”, 15 choirs of students. In newspaper “Belarusian Science” was published an article where the words of academic P.Vitiaz were printes. He defined the labor of T.Slabodchikova as creation of art school.
Work of T.Slabodchikova is marked with the range of awards from National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus, Certificate of Minsk State Executive Committee, Certificate and Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, Breast mark with Belarusian Union of Musical Workers “For contribution into development of musical art, Breast mark from National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus.
