She was born on May 14, 1980 in Uzhgorod (Ukraine).
Since 2009, she has been a teacher of the Special Piano Department at the Belarusian State Academy of Music. Since 2017 – Associate Professor of the Special Piano Department.
She was awarded with Diplomas and Prizes at the F.Chopin International Competition (Czech Republic, 2001), I.Ya.Paderevsky International Competition (2004), twice represented the Republic of Belarus at the International Forum “From Chopin to Goretsky” in Warsaw (2003, 2004).
Elena Ostashkina-Myslivchik successfully combines performing activities with teaching. She performs as a soloist and ensemble player.
A suite for 2 pianos based on works by P.I.Tchaikovsky “My Lizochek is so small” (compilation, processing and methodological commentary, 2017);
For the Festival “Aleksandria Gathers Friends 2018” she prepared a concerted item: she created a transcription for 2 pianos, cymbals and button accordion of V.Ivanov’s work “Vyartanne da Spadchyny”;
By the order of the Belarusian State Academy of Music, she created a transcription of E.Glebov’s work “Lyrical Melody” for 2 pianos (tested in the recording on the stage of the Great Hall of the Palace of the Republic, performed by E.Naumenko, K.Atroshchenko, festive concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Komsomol of the BSSR, 2018);
A concert suite for 2 pianos “My Destiny” based on the songs by I.Luchenok (2019), 7 songs by F.Mendelssohn for piano in 4 hands, transcribed by E.Ostashkina-Myslivchik (2020) has been created.
E.S.Ostashkina-Myslivchik’s versatile activity was noted by a number of thanks from organizers of competitions and festivals for preparing laureates; fruitful work and a great personal contribution to the musical and aesthetic education of the younger generation (repeatedly); administration of institutions of continuing music education of the Republic of Belarus for providing methodological assistance and creative cooperation (repeatedly); Rector of the Education Institution “Belarusian State Academy of Music” for active participation in the preparation and holding of an exhibition of master musical instruments with the participation of the President of the Republic of Belarus A.G.Lukashenko (2018), as well as honorary mention from the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus for fruitful pedagogical activity, a great personal contribution to the education of the creative youth (2019).
She was awarded a Diploma of the Belarusian-Russian cultural and educational project “Wings of the Dream” (2017), a Diploma of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus for conscientious work, a great contribution to the revival and preservation of national culture (2018), a Diploma of the Department of Culture of the Minsk City Executive Committee for many years of fruitful work, a great contribution to the aesthetic and spiritual education of the youth (2019).
Among the students of her class are Laureates and Diploma winners of International competitions, scholarship holders of the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for Support of the Talented Youth.
