Laureates, news for 2022:
- Kurlovich Alena, 1st year student (class of Professor G.Gorelova) – laureate of the 3rd degree of IV Open music competition “Stages of Creativity” in category Composer’s creativity (October 16, 2022, Minsk, NGO Belarusian Union of Composers), – Laureate of the 3rd degree of the Competition of works for piano duet (October 13, 2022, Minsk, BSAM, composition department)
- Shukov Anton, 1st year student (class of Professor O.Khodosko) – laureate of 1st degree on XXVIII International competition of young musicians named after D.Kabalevskyi in the Composition category (November 24-29, 2022, Russian Federation, Samara)
- On May 4, 2022, as a part of events dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Belarusian State Academy of Music, there were a concert featuring works of students of the Department of Composition. The program featured works of V.Baranovskaya, M.Glukhotarenko, A.Gavrilenko, S.Mazin, A.Kustov, V.Ilyushonok, V.Kirchenko, and King Henry. The timbre palette of the works was represented by piano, piano duet, violin and piano, string quartet, vocal music. At the initiative 9of the Student Scientific and Creative Society of the Department of Composition, a round table was organized as a continuation of the concert on May 5, 2022 (the author of the idea and presenter was I.Komar, a master’s student in the piano and composition-musicology department). The event was held in the format of short presentations and discussion of the performed compositions. Students-composers and musicologists exchanged their ideas and impressions in the atmosphere of short presentations and discussions.
Laureates, news for 2021:
- On October 7, 2021 in the Great Hall of Student Cultural Center in Belgrade (Serbia) as part of the festival of contemporary music “30 International Composer’s Tribune” (06.10.2021-10.10.2021), a performance of the composition “Home” (two postludes for string quartet) by a master’s student in piano was performed and the Faculty of Composer and Musicology (class of Professor G.Gorelova).
The International Composers’ Tribune was founded in It is the most important contemporary music festival in the Republic of Serbia. Once a year the organizers of the tribune try to acquaint the public with the latest achievements of modern composers both national and foreign.
- The 2nd degree laureate diploma of the IV International Festival of Contemporary Art “Art-Modern” competition for the best composition for a string quartet (September 15, 2021, Saratov, Russia) was awarded to I. Komar, a master’s degree student in the piano and composition-musicology department (class of Professor G.Gorelova )
- In May, 2021 the III All-Russian competition of composers “PIANO&PIANO” was held in Petrozavodsk, Russia. In the nomination for students of music universities, the essay “Russian” written by V.Baranovskaya received 2nd degree laureate diploma.
- On March 1-15, 2021 the X International competition among musicians “GRAND MUSIC ART” was held in Yelets, Russia.2nd year student of the piano and composition-musicology department class of professor V.Korolchuk, V.Baranovskaya received a diploma as a laureate of the 3rd prize in the category “Own composition” for composers.
- On February 24-26, 2021 VII competition of Young Composers in Memory of Alfred Schittke and Svyatoslav Richter was held in Sochi, Russia as a part of the XIV Winter International Arts Festival. The 2nd prize laureate diploma in the category: “Piano trio, quartet or quintet” was awarded to I.Komar, a 5th year student of the piano and composition-musicology department (class of Professor G. Gorelova).
Laureates, news for 2020:
- On December 15-25, 2020 the II International Art Competition “ART CHAMPION” was held in Vologoda, Russia. In the “Composition” nomination the winner became 1st year student of piano and composition-musicology faculty M.Glukhotarenko.
- On December 8-10, 2020 the International Composer Competition named after Z.Ismagilov “Young composers” was held in Bashkorostan. 5th year student of the piano and composition-musicology faculty I.Komar became an owner of of a 1st degree competition in the “Vocal Composition” nomination and 2nd degree diploma of competition in “Compositions of chamber ensemble” nomination.
- From October 26 till December 22 2020 XXVII International competition of young musicians named after D.Kabalevskyi was held in Samara, Russia. The 1st prize winner of the “Composition” nomination became 5th year student E.Loban.
- From March 1 till March 15, 2020 VIII International festival among musicians “GRAND MUSIC ART” was held in Moscow, Russia with the support of the Moscow State Budgetary Educational Institution “Children’s Music School named after A.Lyadova” 2nd year student of piano and composition-musicology faculty, Ilyushonok (class of Professor V.Korolchuk) awarded the title of 1st degree laureate.
