Honorary Professor of Belarusian State Academy of Music (2018)
Polish conductor. Professor of music art. Rector of Music Academy in Krakow (2004-2012, 2016-2020).
He was born on September 20, 1955 in Perpektivny village of Krasnoyarsk region of RSFSR. Graduated Krakow Music Academy with honors. In 1992 he headed Tarn chamber orchestra. In 2000 he took part in creation of big international ensemble that performed compositions from the cities that are entitled as cultural capitals of Europe. In 2001 he received a title of Professor of Music Art. He headed choir formations of Polish radio and television of Krakow and Krakow Philharmonic society. He performed in Milano theatre La Scala, in Teatro Regio in Turin, in Academy of St. Cecilia in Rome (Academie nationale di Santa Cecilia), in concert halls of UNESCO in Paris. Beethoven-hall in Stuttgart. He was a conductor of Capella Cracoviensis (1986–2008).
Under his supervision were held premieres of compositions of many composers including S.Buyarsky, H.Goretsky, M.Stakhovsky and H.Botar.
As academic teacher he worked in Music academy where became Professor of Choral Conducting, Music Education and Rhythm Institution. In 1995 S.Krawczynski was elected as the head of Choir Department, then – the Choral Arts Department. In 1999 he became the Dean of the Music Education Faculty. In 2004-2012 and 2016-2020 was the Rector of Music Academy of Krakow. In 2012-2016 was the Head of Art Section of Central Commission for giving titles and degrees in the Association of Higher Art Institutions.
