Honorary Professor of Belarusian State Academy of Music
Belarusian soloist-vocalist (lyric-coloratura soprano), teacher. People’s Artist of the BSSR (1955). People’s Artist of the USSR (1964). Associate Professor (1969), Professor (1980). Member of the Artistic Council of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus. Honorary Professor of Belarusian State Academy of Music (2015).
Born on 9 March 1925 in Samara, RSFSR. Graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory (1949), singing class of M.Vladimirova. She began working at Belarusian State Conservatory named after A.Lunacharsky in 1963. From 1976 to 2018 – main job: associate professor, professor (1980), head of the Singing Department (1976-1986).
Performer of the leading roles in the operas “The Girl from Polesie” and “Mikhas Podgorny” by E. Tikotsky, “Marinka” by G. Pukst, “The Thorny Rose” by Y. Semenyako, “Ivan Susanin” by M. Glinka, “Sadko”, “The Tsar’s Bride” and “The Golden Cockerel” by N. Rimsky-Korsakov, “La Traviata” by G. Verdi, “The Pearl Hunters” by L. Delibes, “Manon” by J. Massenet.
Performed solo concerts. The first performer of many works by Belarusian composers (E. Tikotsky, G. Pukst, Y. Semenyako, L. Abelovich and others). Author of the radio program cycle “17th Meeting” (Belarusian Radio, 1982). She has toured in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, Austria, Bulgaria, Finland, Sweden, Canada, Mongolia, etc. She has archive recordings on Belarusian Radio and gramophone records.
