JÉRÔME PERNOO

Honorary Professor of Belarusian State Academy of Music


French performer (cello), teacher.

Born on May 11, 1972 in Nantes, France. He was a student of J.Fleury, later of K.Gagnepain, later – in Paris Conservatory (class of F.Muller). In 1994 he was awarded III prize of International cellist competition named after M.Rostropovich in Paris, then he received diploma of International competition named after P.Tchaikovsky in Moscow. In 1996 he became a winner of International competition in Pretoria (South African Republic). He performed with the majority of the biggest French and foreign orchestras. Toured in many European and American cities.

J.Pernoo taught in Royal College of London and since 2007 he is Professor of cello class in Paris Conservatory of Music and Dance. He is a founder and art director of music festival “Les Vacances de Monsieur Haydn” in La Roche-Posay city that was first held in September 2005. In 2015 J.Pernoo created «Centre de musique de chambre de Paris» in Paris.
