Art student groups

Art director L.Cherniak

Folk instruments ensemble of Belarusian State Academy of Music within the framework of educational course “Ensemble”. The members changed each year (duets, trios, quartets, quintets). Repertoire grew gradually, the performing skills of ensemble mastered each year. The ensemble became an active participant of music life of the Academy of Music as well as republican art projects and competitions. In 2012 folk instruments quartet including I.Karnazhitskaya, E.Borischik, P.Lovets, S.Gurenda received Grand Prix at International competition-festival “South Express” (Kiev) and in 2013 1^st degree diploma at International festival-competition “Slavic meetings” (Minsk). Folk instruments ensemble (members: O.Chizh, A.Sobol, I.Lukashevich, E.Kozlovskaya, V.Kirchenko, O.Pavlovich, N.Trutko) took part in II International bayan and accordion players competition «AccoPremium – 2018» and became 1^st prize laureate.

Currently the art group includes 14 members. In repertoire of the ensemble there are compositions of different styles, epochs and genres, including works of Belarusian composers.

• ensemble performance at the opening of VIII Republican open festival of folk instruments performers named after I.Zhinovich;
• ensemble concert at “International forum of Belarusian fairy-tale researchers” (National Academy of Sciences of Belarus);
• ensemble concert at the Theatre of Young Spectator;
• ensemble performance at “Christmas meetings” (Belarusian State Academy of Music);
• ensemble performance at festival “Easter meeting” (Minsk);
• ensemble concert (Music room);
• ensemble performance at international project “Dombra day” (Academy of Music, hall named after V.Rovda);
• ensemble performance at creative evening of L.Cherniak (Belarusian State Philharmonic Society, hall named after G.Shirma);
• ensemble performance at grand opening of thematic platform “Unity Belt” (Independence Palace);
• ensemble performance at the concert commemorated to G.Zhikharev;
• ensemble performance at Easter festival (Art Palace);
• ensemble performance at Pokrovsky Festival “Joy” (the Holy Elizabethan Monastery, Minsk);
• ensemble performance at festive concert commemorated to 78^th anniversary of Belarusian State Museum of the Great Patriotic war history;
• ensemble performance at concert “Dynasty continuation’ to 85^th anniversary of D.Smolsky.

In 2021 folk instruments ensemble received gratitude from Rector of Belarusian Academy of Music E.Dulova for participation in opening of exhibition “Unity Belt”.

In 2023 the ensemble became 1^st degree laureate of International festival-competition “Slavic meetings” (Russia).
