From April 6 to 10, 2026, Belarusian State Academy of Music will host the XXХV International Scientific Readings in Memory of L. Mukharinskaya (1906–1987) and the International Forum of Ethnocultures. This year’s events mark the 120^th anniversary of the birth of Lidiya Mukharinskaya, a corypheus of national musicology and the founder of the Belarusian ethnomusicology school.

В рамках чтений пройдут секционные заседания, круглые столы, лекции, презентации новых изданий. На форуме этнокультур состоятся концерты, выставки, мастер-классы, а также презентации, посвященные традиционной музыкальной культуре разных народов.

The readings will include section meetings, roundtables, lectures, and presentations of new publications. The Forum of Ethnocultural will feature concerts, exhibitions, master classes, and presentations on the traditional music cultures of various peoples.

The main topics of the readings:

• verbal traditional music culture in the research field of modern ethnomusicology;
• current issues in Belarusian and world music art;
• problems of music mediaevalism;
• performing arts and music education: issues of history, theory, and practice;
• Chinese musicology in Belarus.

Researches, teachers and specialists of Higher and Secondary educational institutions of music art, doctoral and postgraduate students are invited to participate in the readings.

Languages of the conference – Russian, Belarusian, English.

The conference is planned to be held in a mixed format. The following forms of participation are provided: in-person, remote (online broadcast), in absentia (video recording, poster presentation).

Регламент выступления: до 20 минут (доклад на пленарном заседании), до 15 минут (доклад на секционном заседании, сообщение на круглом столе, презентация издания).

Speech regulations: 20 minutes (report at plenary session), 15 minutes (report at section session, message at round table, publication presentation).

Poster presentation or video recording must be sent no later than April 2, 2026 by e-mail: minsk.conference1@gmail.com

Travel, accommodation and food expenses are covered by conference participant or by the sending party.

Based on the results of the conference, publishing of scientific articles is planned. Articles should be formatted in accordance with the requirements posted on the Academy’s website (https://bgam.by/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Trebovaniya-k-publikatsii-v-zhurnale-Vesti_bel.pdf ), and be sent to the e-mail address nio@bgam.by no later than May 25, 2026.

The organizing committee reserves the right to reject articles that do not meet the requirements for the format and content of scientific publications.
