From April 5 to 8, 2022 the Belarusian State Academy of Music holds the XXXI International Scientific Conference in memory of L.S.Mukharinskaya (1906-1987) and International Ethnocultural Forum.
Scientific sessions, roundtable discussions, lectures by famous musicologists, presentation of the new publications will be held as part of the Scientific Conference.
Topic areas of the Scientific Conference:
• history and achievements of the Belarusian musical science: to the 90th anniversary of the Belarusian State Academy of Music and the 100th anniversary of the Institute of Belarusian Culture;
• outstanding figures of musical art, culture and science of Belarus who have anniversaries in 2022 (V.A. Zolotarev, G.R. Shirma, L.M. Abeliovich, I.I. Zhinovich, G.S. Glushchenko, T.A. Shcherbakova , D.B. Smolsky, A.Yu. Mdivani, I.D. Nazina);
• actual problems of theoretical and practical ethnomusicology;
• modern perspectives of musical-historical and musical-theoretical researches;
• musical pedagogy, history and theory of performing arts issues.
Scholars, teachers and experts of Higher and Secondary education institutions in the field of musical art, PhD students and postgraduate students are invited to participate in the Scientific Conference.
The Conference is to be held in the mixed format.
Following modes of participation are possible:
1. Offline;
2. Online (online stream or broadcasting of the video recording, provided by the participants by e-mail in advance);
3. Poster presentation.
The final decision on the format of the event will be made on the processing of the received applications.
Time limit on speeches:
report at the plenary session – up to 20 minutes,
report at the breakout session – up to 15 minutes;
report at the roundtable – up to 15 minutes,
presentation of publications – up to 10 minutes.
The videos for online presentations and texts of the poster presentations must be sent to the e-mail: nio@bgam.by no later than April 4, 2022.
Conference languages – Russian, Belarusian, English.
Scientific articles are going to be published according to the Scientific Conference result. The text of the article in the Belarusian or Russian language must be submitted to the e-mail: nio@bgam.by before May 23, 2022. Each article is to be accompanied by a review and an extract from the record of the department meeting (scientific department, cyclic commission) with recommendation for the article publication.
A scientific article of 14000–25000 characters must contain a short summary in the language of the article, a resume in English and a list of reference links. The text of the scientific article is formatted in accordance with the requirements posted on the website: http://bgam.by/science/publication.
Articles that have not previously been published are accepted for publication.
All submitted materials for publication in the scientific collections of the Academy of music are tested for their uniqueness by the “Antiplagiat” program through the purchased database “University library”.
The Organizing Committee has the right to reject the articles that do not correspond to the topics of the Conference and the current requirements for scientific publications.
