The postgraduate educational program is an educational program of research-oriented education aimed at training specialists who have the skills to plan and independently conduct research, deep theoretical knowledge, allowing them to write a qualifying research work (thesis) for the degree of Candidate of Sciences and ensuring the qualification “Researcher”. Postgraduate educational programs that provide the qualification “Researcher” are implemented in the full-time form (the duration of study is not more than three years), part-time (the duration of study is not more than four years) or in the form of independent degree seeking (the duration of study is not more than five years). Independent degree seeking as a form of training highly qualified research workers, in addition to mastering the educational program of the Postgraduate School, also includes the preparation and passing of Candidacy examinations and tests in general educational subjects in cases where training is carried out by persons who do not have a Master’s degree (the duration of study is not more than five years).
It is allowed to enroll persons for training in the form of independent degree seeking only for passing Candidacy exams and credits in general educational subjects (the training time is not more than two years on a paid basis) for the purpose of subsequent postgraduate training in full-time or part-time education. In this case, upon completion of the training period, the qualification “Researcher” is not awarded.
The doctoral educational program is an educational program of research-oriented education aimed at training specialists who have the skills to organize research work in a new direction of research or in the development of existing relevant areas of research, analytical generalization of the results of research activity, allowing to write a qualifying research work (thesis) for the degree of Doctor of Science. The educational program of the Doctorate School is implemented in the full-time form of education or in the form of independent degree seeking.
Training at the Postgraduate and Doctorate Schools is carried out at the expense of the Republican budget, organizations, individual entrepreneurs or other individuals, including the citizen’s own funds, on the basis of Learning Agreements on the training of a highly qualified research worker, concluded in accordance with the law.
