The Library of Belarusian State Academy of Music presents a thematic exhibition “The history of the country is in symbols”: dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On State Symbols of the Republic of Belarus”.
There are many countries and peoples in the world. They differ from each other in language, customs, clothing, and appearance. Each nation and country also has its own distinctive signs – these are the COAT OF ARMS, FLAG and ANTHEM.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On State Symbols of the Republic of Belarus” (July 5, 2004), which is aimed at legal regulation of issues of state symbols of Belarus established by the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, and determines the description and procedure for their application.
In accordance with Article 19 of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, the State Flag, the State Emblem and the State Anthem are symbols of its state sovereignty.
The Day of the State Flag, State Emblem and National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus is a public holiday in our republic and is celebrated annually on the second Sunday of May.
The exhibition presents publications that reveal the role and place of the main symbols of the Republic of Belarus in the system of government of our country: encyclopedias, reference books, socio-political and popular science magazines, educational literature on the ideology and history of the Belarusian state.
The exhibition is located in room 138 of educational building No. 1 (30 Internatsionalnaya St.) from May 8 to December 31, 2024.
