Dmitry Shuvalov, a student of the Belarusian State Academy of Music, won the third prize of the International Classical Music Festival Kustendorf CLASSIC.
As awards, the winners received specially created gold, silver and bronze nesting dolls. The image of a matryoshka doll symbolizes the unity of Slavic peoples connected by common historical and cultural values.
The festival is organized by the world-famous director Emir Kusturica and the Gazprom Neft company.
This year’s event took place from August 31st to September 3rd. The festival brought together 37 young musicians from Russia, Belarus and Serbia, and Serbian Minister of Culture Nikola Selakovic became its guest of honor.
