Oleg Khodosko was born on March 21, 1964 in Alma-Ata, Republic of Kazakhstan.

He has been working in Belarusian State Academy of Music since 2000. Since 2004 – senior teacher, 2012 – dean of the Department of Composition, since 2020 – professor of the Department of Composition. Since 2023 – head of the Department of Composition.

Oleg Khodosko is a member of the jury of various republican and international competitions, including International festival “Youth for the Union State” (2009), Republican Competition “The Star has risen over Belarus” (2010), Festival-competition of national choral music “Rekha”(2010) etc.

He is a member of the repertoire and editorial commission of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus. Conducts creative meetings in secondary educational establishment of art and culture in Belarus. He is a member of television and radio programs of Belarusian broadcast.

He is laureate of All-Union competitions for students composers in Moscow (1985, 1987). Was awarded the silver medal of the USSR Exhibition of Economic Achievements (1988). He is laureate of the Republican Prize “Golden Cupid” (2009), laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Belarus (certificate №1012 dated April 23, 2003), National theatre Awards (2011,2021), was awarded the Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus (2022).

Among the students there are laureates of international competitions E.Evnevich, I.Kulagina, E Loban, composer Yu.Tsagoiko.
