He was born on February 13, 1963 in Minsk.
He has been working in Belarusian State Academy of Music since 1987:
1987-1991 – as teacher of the Physical Education Department;
1991-1996 – as senior teacher of the Physical Education Department;
1996-2017 – as the Head of the Physical Education Department;
2018-2022 – as Associate Professor of the Social and Humanitarian Department.
Since 2022 – as senior teacher of the the Social and Humanitarian Department.
In his work in the Academy he spends a lot of time on educational and social activity:
– mentor of educational groups;
He is Social Inspector of Labor Protection of Belarusian State Academy of Music, Member of Social Union “Belaya Rus”, the Head of vigilante group of Belarusian State Academy of Music;
Yu.Vashkevich is the Head of the Physical Culture and Sport formation of Belarusian State Academy of Music, Sport Judge of National category (athletics). He is the winner (1978) and prize holder (1979-1980) of BSSR championships on athletics.
Among his graduates there are winners of the Republican universiade D.Larkov (2016, 3rd prize, 2019 – 1st prize);
Students’ team from Belarusian State Academy of Music won the 2nd prize in Republican competition on the best play in Physical-Healthful; and Sport-Mass work in Higher Educational Establishments (2010) as well as 3rd prize in Republican festival “Generation start” (2016).
Active professional and social activity of Yu.Vashkevich was marked with Gratitude and Certificates from Belarusian State Academy of Music and Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus.
He has more than 18 scientific and educational-methodological works.
