LAUREATESOF THE STRING FOLK INSTRUMENTS DEPARTMENT

From January 4 to February 4, 2024, the 1st International Competition-Festival “Everything Starts with a Dream” was held in St. Petersburg. The winner was 1st year student Oleg Zykov – 1st prize (class of the Associate Professor of the Department, Associate Professor M. Ilyina; piano accompanist P. Serdeychny).


On January 27-28, 2024, the 1st Open Regional Competition of Folk Instrument Performers “Ural Skomorokh” was held in Yekaterinburg (Russia). The winners of the competition were:

  • 1st year student Oleg Zykov – 1st prize (class of the Associate Professor of the Department, Associate Professor M. Ilyina; piano accompanist P. Serdeychny),
  • 2nd year student Ekaterina Chaykova – 2nd prize (class of the Professor of the Department, Professor L. Chernyak; piano accompanist P. Serdeychny)
  • folk instruments ensemble under the direction of L. Chernyak – 2nd

In March 2024, the International Art Competition-Festival “Spring Chant” was held in Minsk. The winner of the competition was 1st year student Oleg Zykov – Grand Prix (class of the Associate Professor of the Department, Associate Professor M. Ilyina; piano accompanist P. Serdeychny).


From January 31 to February 4, 2024, the XI International Competition-Festival “Guitar in Russia” was held in Voronezh (Russia). The winner was 2nd year student Nazar Malyshev – 1st prize (class of the Professor of the Department, Associate Professor E. Gridyushko).


On March 17-31, 2024, the All-Russian Competition-Festival “Balalaika-Renaissance” was held in Moscow (Russia). The winner was 1st year student Oleg Zykov – 3rd prize (class of the Associate Professor of the Department, Associate Professor M. Ilyina; piano accompanist P. Serdeychny).


On March 20-23, 2024, the International Guitar Competition “Tabula Rasa” was held in Moscow (Russia). The winners were 2nd year student Nazar Malyshev – 2nd prize, and Dmitry Rabkov – diploma (both contestants are students of the Professor of the Department, Associate Professor E. Gridyushko).


In March 2024, the V Open Republican Music Competition “Steps of Creativity” was held in Minsk. The winner was the folk instruments ensemble under the direction of L. Chernyak – 1st prize.


On April 4-9, 2024, the IX International Competition of Folk Instruments Performers “The Charm of Singing Strings…” was held in Petrozavodsk (Russia). The winner was 4th year student Yulia Fedoruk – 1st prize (class of the Head of the Department, PhD in Art History V. Praded; piano accompanist V. Fedoruk).


On April 17-18, 2024, the III Open Competition of the Folk Instruments Faculty was held in Minsk. The winners in the second age category in the “Cimbalom” nomination were:

  • 1st year student Darya Misyuchik – 1st prize (class of the Head of the Department, PhD in Art History V. Praded; piano accompanist O. Medvedeva)
  • 4th year student Yulia Fedoruk – 2nd prize (class of the Head of the Department, PhD in Art History V. Praded; piano accompanist V. Fedoruk)
  • 1st year student Gapanovich Irina – 3rd prize (class of senior teacher of the Department T. Sushchenya; piano accompanist P. Serdechny)
  • 3rd year student Anna Volchkova – diploma ((class of the Head of the Department, PhD in Art History V. Praded; piano accompanist A. Bryleva)

In April 2024, the Republican competition “Music with Us” was held in Minsk. The winner of the competition was 1st year student Oleg Zykov – 1st prize (class of the Associate Professor of the Department, Associate Professor M. Ilyina; piano accompanist P. Serdechny).


On April 28-29, 2024, the VI International Competition-Festival of Vocal and Instrumental Creativity “Inspiration of the Native Land” was held in the agrotown of Staro-Borisov. The winner was 4th year student Diana Kabanova (domra) – 1st prize (class of the Associate Professor of the Department N. Lazutskaya; piano accompanist A. Yakubovskaya).


On May 1-25, 2024, the V Republican Open Competition of Classical Music “Musical World” was held in Minsk in absentia. The winners of the competition were students of the Associate Professor of the Department, PhD in Art History D. Shahab:

  • graduate student Li Tong in the senior age category – 3rd prize;
  • a duet consisting of 3rd year student Rong Junyue and graduate student Li Tong in the “Guitar, ensemble” nomination – 3rd

On May 4-5, 2024, the XIX International Competition “Guitar Renaissance” was held in Gomel. The winner of the competition in the senior age category was graduate student Li Tong – 1st prize (class of the Associate Professor of the Department, PhD in Art History D. Shahab).


In 2024, the International Blitz Competition “Star Olympus” was held in Kurgan (Russia). The winner of the competition was 4th year student Ekaterina Chaikova – Grand Prix (class of the Professor of the Department, Professor L. Chernyak; piano accompanist A. Yakubovskaya)

On May 21, 2024, the II International Competition for the Development of National Art “Friendship Lasts Forever!” was held in Dushanbe (Tajikistan). The winner in the “National Instrumental Performance” nomination was a duet of 3rd year students Alesya Starukhina and Nadezhda Polyanko – 1st prize (class of the Professor of the Department, Professor E. Gladkov).


In June 2024, the International Distance Competition of Instrumental and Vocal Creativity “Summer Wave” was held in Moscow. The winners were:

  • graduate student Li Tong – 2nd prize (class of the Associate Professor of the Department, PhD in Art History D. Shahab)
  • a duet consisting of Li Tong (graduate student) and 3rd year student Rong Junyue – 1st prize (class of the Associate Professor of the Department, PhD in Art History D. Shahab)

In June 2024, Germany-Kazakhstan held the III International Vocal and Instrumental Competition (online) “Deutschland Music Grandprix”. The winner was 1st year student Oleg Zykov – Grand Prix (class of Associate Professor of the Department, Associate Professor M. Ilyina; piano accompanist P. Serdechny).


In September 2024, the International Performing Arts Competition “People’s Soul” was held in Minsk. The winner was 2nd year student Oleg Zykov – 2nd prize (class of Associate Professor of the Department, Associate Professor M. Ilyina; piano accompanist N. Kirdan).


In November 2024, the XIII Republican Creative Radio Competition “Young Talents of Belarus” was completed in Minsk. The winner was 1st year student Valeria Patrusheva – 1st prize (class of Associate Professor of the Department, Associate Professor R. Podoynitsyna; piano accompanist P. Serdechny).


From November 27 to December 1, 2024, the V International Guitar Competition-Festival “Guitar Time” was held in Moscow (Russia). The winners were 3rd year student Nazar Malyshev – 1st prize and 4th year student Tatyana Kanarskaya (both contestants are students of the Professor of the Department, Associate Professor E. Gridyushko).


On December 1-8, 2024, the V International Musical Art Competition named after A. Glazunov was held in Petrozavodsk (Russia). The winner in the “Instruments of the Folk Orchestra” (solo) nomination was 5th year student Yulia Fedoruk – 1st prize (class of the Head of the Department, PhD in Art History V. Praded; piano accompanist V. Fedoruk).


On December 2-16, 2024, the XIII International Competition dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the Kemerovo State Institute of Culture “Sibiriada” (online) was held in Kemerovo (Russia). The winner in the “National Instruments of the Peoples of Russia and Abroad” nomination was 5th year student Yulia Fedoruk – 1st prize (class of the Head of the Department, PhD in Art History V. Praded; piano accompanist V. Fedoruk).


In December 2024, the VII International Competition “Star Olympus” was held in Kurgan (Russia). The winner in the “Ensemble Performance, Duet” nomination was a duet consisting of 5th year students Yulia and Veronika Fedoruk – 1st prize (class of the Head of the Department, PhD in Art History V. Praded).
