In June 2024, the results of the first ever Belarusian State Academy of Music student award “Teacher of the Year” were summed up! The winner of this award in the nomination “Teacher of the Year of the Faculty of Folk Instruments” was Associate Professor of the bayan and Accordion Department, Candidate of Art History, Associate Professor L.V.Skachko.
From June 25 to 28, 2024, the XXII International Competition-Festival “Vivat, Bayan!” was held in Moscow (Russia). The winners of the competition were: 1st year student Kirill Bulanov — diploma of the winner of the III degree (in the category “Senior. Classics”); duet consisting of 2nd year students Volchek Ivan and Korneva Alesya — diploma of laureates of the II degree (in the category “Ensemble. Classics”). The class of the Candidate of Art History, associate Professor L.V.Skachko.
From June 3 to June 21, 2024 inSokol (Russia) hosted the III Open All-Russian Competition of performers on accordion, accordion and accordion “Cup of Russia”. Pavel Zabrodotsky, a 3rd—year student, became the winner of the competition. From January 11 to January 22, 2024 in Novosibirsk (Russia) The Ministry of Culture of the Novosibirsk Region of the Russian Federation and the ANO “International Association of Festivals and Competitions” held the XVII International Malaninsky Competition-festival dedicated to the legendary Siberian accordion player I.I.Malanin. The winner of the competition was Ivan Volchek, a 2nd—year student, who received a diploma of the 1st degree laureate (class of Candidate of Art History, Associate Professor L.V.Skachko).

From December 5 to December 8, 2023, the IX International Festival-Competition of Performers on the keyboard instrument “Accordionissimo” was held in Ufa (Russia) on the basis of the Ufa College of Arts (College). From December 01, 2022 to January 25, 2023, the Belarusian State Academy of Music hosted an educational and creative project for foreign citizens dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Belarusian State Academy of Music “Student Unity of Creative Youth of the Academy of Music”. As part of the project, a performance art competition “Creativity without Borders” and a video business card competition “Me and my Academy” were held.
