The XXXII International Scientific Conference in honor of L.Mukharinskaya (1906–1987) and the International Festival of Ethnic Cultures will be held from April 4 to 7, 2023 at the Belarusian State Academy of Music.
During the Conference, there will be breakout sessions and roundtable meetings, master classes and lectures, as well as publication and audio- and video-materials presentations.
Main topics of the Conference:
• achievements of the national and foreign schools of ethnomusicology;
• topical issues of musical and theoretical as well as musical and historical research;
• modern research areas in the field of history and theory of performing arts;
• current issues in music pedagogy;
• 2023 marks the anniversaries of notable figures in musical art, culture, and science from Belarus (A. Bogatyrev, V. Elatov, Z. Mozheiko, E. Tikotsky) and the rest of the world (R. Wagner, E. Gippius, A. Dargomyzhsky, D. Ligeti, S. Rachmaninov).
There will be a roundtable meeting dedicated to the research of oral traditional musical culture.
Researchers, teachers, and specialists from higher and secondary education institutions in the field of musical art, doctoral students, and postgraduates are invited to participate in the conference.
The conference languages are Russian, Belarusian, and English.
The conference is to be held in a mixed format. The following forms of participation are possible: in-person presentation, online-participation, video recording of the report or poster presentation.
Speech time limit: 20 minutes (for reports at plenary sessions), 15 minutes (report at the breakout session, round table or presentation).
Applications for participation are accepted until March 24, 2023 at minsk.conference1@gmail.com.
A poster presentation or a video recording of the report must be sent no later than April 3, 2023 to minsk.conference1@gmail.com.
The conference participant or the sending party is responsible for covering the costs of travel, lodging, and meals.

The research articles are to be published after the Conference. The articles have to be formatted according to the requirements posted on the website of the Academy (https://bgam.by/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Trebovaniya-Vesty1.pdf). The articles can be submitted to minsk.conference1@gmail.com before June 1, 2023.
The organizing committee reserves the right to select articles for publication and edit them. All submitted materials are checked for uniqueness by the antiplagiarism program through the University Library database.
