Rules for admission to the 1st stage of postgraduate education (Postgraduate School) for foreign citizens
Applicants for the Postgraduate School must have:
- a Higher education;
- propensity for scientific research, as evidenced by scientific publications, participation in research and innovation projects, conferences or other materials.
Foreign citizens entering the Postgraduate School must have a Higher education at the level of Master of Science (Arts).
Foreign citizens are enrolled in the Postgraduate School on a paid basis without passing an entrance exam in a special subject. At the same time, the applicant’s inclination to research work, as well as the level of proficiency in the language of instruction sufficient for mastering the educational program of the Postgraduate School, is established by the results of the interview.

- an application addressed to the Rector of the Academy
- a personnel record sheet
- an autobiography
- copies of the Diploma of Higher education and the Academic Transcript attached to it or a copy of the document on education confirming the receipt of education equivalent to the 1st stage of Higher education in the Republic of Belarus, indicating the subjects studied and the grades (points) received in them.
- copies of the Master’s Diploma and the Academic Transcript attached to it or a copy of the document on education confirming the receipt of education equivalent to the 2nd stage of Higher education in the Republic of Belarus, indicating the subjects studied and the grades (points) obtained in them (for citizens of the Republic of Belarus – upon availability).
- a copy of the Certificate on PhD Candidacy Credits (grading tests) and PhD Candidacy Examinations in general educational subjects (for persons entering the Postgraduate School for obtaining the scientific qualification “Researcher” in full-time or part-time education).
- a list and copies of published scientific papers, and in their absence – a scientific abstract on the profile of the chosen speciality (for persons entering the Postgraduate School to obtain the scientific qualification “Researcher”).
- documents confirming participation in the implementation of research and innovation projects, copies of materials and (or) abstracts at scientific, research and practice conferences, congresses, symposiums and other similar events (if any).
- three photographs of 4 x 6 cm in size (for persons entering the Postgraduate School for obtaining the scientific qualification “Researcher” in the form of independent degree seeking, and persons entering the Postgraduate School for training in the form of independent degree seeking for the purpose of passing Candidacy Examinations and Candidacy Credits (grading tests) in general educational subjects – 2 photos).
- an assessment of the Medical Consultation Commission issued by the territorial healthcare organization of the Republic of Belarus (after passing a mandatory medical examination by the assignment of an education institution, an organization implementing educational programs of postgraduate education) (for foreign citizens and stateless persons).
- a medical assessment and a HIV-negative certificate, issued by the official health authority of the country from which the candidate for the Postgraduate School came (for foreign citizens and stateless persons).
- a passport copy or a document replacing it, a document confirming the right to stay on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, a compulsory medical insurance contract (for foreign citizens and stateless persons).
Foreign citizens and stateless persons entering the Postgraduate School for obtaining the scientific qualification “Researcher” in accordance with international agreements of the Republic of Belarus, agreements on the implementation of international programs, agreements of education institutions, organizations of the Republic of Belarus implementing educational programs of postgraduate education, with organizations of foreign states (international organizations) or by the assignment of an organization of a foreign state, submit in addition a copy of one of the above agreements or an assignment of an organization of a foreign state.
The above documents, drawn up in a foreign language, must be simultaneously accompanied by their translation into Belarusian or Russian, certified by a notary.
Citizens of the Republic of Belarus, stateless persons and foreign citizens who are holders of foreign Diplomas of Higher education and academic degrees, before submitting documents for admission to the Postgraduate School, must confirm the equivalence (compliance) of their foreign documents with Belarusian Diplomas of Higher education and academic degrees in the manner, established by legislative acts.
A necessary condition for the enrollment of foreign citizens in the Postgraduate School is that they have a passport or a document replacing it, a document confirming the right to stay on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, a compulsory medical insurance contract drawn up in the manner prescribed by legislative acts, and in case of admission to the Postgraduate School with instruction in the Russian (Belarusian) language – command of the Russian (Belarusian) language at a level sufficient to master the relevant educational program of postgraduate education.
An identity document and original documents on education are presented by a person entering the Postgraduate School personally.
Acceptance of documents for admission to the Postgraduate School is carried out from August 24, 2022 to September 30, 2022.
Interview – October 28, 2022. Training start – November 1.
