LYUBOV SYTKO

Position: Teacher of the Department of Composition
Education: Belarusian State Academy of Music (2018 г., composition class of V.Dorokhina); master’s degree (2019 г., scientific supervisor – Doctor of Art History, Professor Shimanskyi); postgraduate student of th e Department of Music Theory of the Belarusian State Academy of Music (from 2020 till now).
Disciplines taught: Harmony, Solfeggio, Reading and Analysis of scores, Current directions in the development of modern musical art.


Lyubov Sytko was born on March 6,1994 in Lida, Belarus.

She started her teaching career in 2014 as a teacher of musical theoretical disciplines and composition at Children’s Music School №7 in Minsk. She has been repeatedly awarded Diplomas for high teaching skills and Gratitude for preparing laureates of republican and international composition competitions (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020).

She worked as a lecturer-musicologist at the Philharmonic for Children and Youth of the Belarusian State Philharmonic. Author and presenter of concert programs such as “Journey to the Country of Music”, “Distant War”, “Pushkin and Music”, “Shakespeare”, “Music can do anything!”, a series of concert-lectures “The Music of Belarusian Composers Sounds”, etc.

She has been working in Belarusian State Academy of Music since 2020.

Professional and creative achievements:

Composition competitions:

  • IX International Internet competition “Composer” within the framework of the creative project “Admiralty Star” – 1st degree diploma.
  • I Open competition of Choral Composers named after V.Teravskyi (2017) – 1st degree diploma.
  • II International Competition of Composers to create works for a symphony orchestra (2018) – diploma.
  • II Republican open competition for Young Composers named after Yu. Semenyako (2019) – 1st degree diploma.
  • II Open competition of Choral Composers named after V. Teravskyi (2019) – 2nd degree diploma.

Also took part in various scientific works competitions

She is the owner of the award of French-Belarusian Association LA VIE EN MUSIQUE-LVEM (2018, Paris).

Diploma recipient of the special fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the support of talented youth.

She has repeatedly taken part in international and republican scientific and practical conferences.
