The primary trade union organization of students of the educational institution “Belarusian State Academy of Music” is a voluntary public organization uniting students, undergraduates and graduate students of the Academy. The work of the organization is managed by a committee elected by the members of the trade union. The work of the committee is supervised and with the methodological assistance of the Central Committee of the Belarusian Republican Trade Union of Workers of Culture, Information, Sports and

tourism, as well as in close cooperation with the Department of educational work with youth.

Anyone can come to the trade union committee for help and friendly advice. Violated your rights? Did you find yourself in a difficult financial situation? Do you need to improve your health? Or maybe you want to organize an exhibition, arrange a concert, hold an event, make a proposal to improve student life, or do you just lack communication with positive people? You will find answers to these and many other questions here! Trade union activists are directly involved in discussing issues related to student life. The opinion of each student will not be ignored, once he declares himself in the Trade Union.

In accordance with the Charter of the trade union of cultural workers, the primary organization works in the following areas:

• protecting the rights and interests of students;
• assistance in creating conditions for improving the financial and living conditions of students;
• clarification of the norms of the current legislation of the Republic of Belarus in relation to student youth;
• improving the health of students;
• organization of leisure activities for students, cultural and mass work;
• physical education and sports development;
• organizing and conducting sightseeing trips;
• organization of the work of student curators;
• volunteer movement;
• organization of socially significant campaigns and actions;
• assistance to young families;
• allocation of financial assistance;
• participation in the work of the housing and household commission of the Academy;
• control over the settlement and allocation of places in the hostel;
• the Commission for quality control of public catering at the Academy;
• cooperation with trade union organizations of other higher education institutions.
