The library of Belarusian State Academy of Music has prepared a thematic exhibition “United People – United Belarus”: for the Day of National Unity.
On September 17, the Republic of Belarus celebrates a national holiday – National Unity Day. It was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated June 7, 2021, No. 206.
The date was not chosen by chance: this day became an act of historical justice in relation to the Belarusian people, divided against their will in 1921 under the terms of the Riga Peace Treaty. The unity restored in 1939 allowed Belarus to survive during the Great Patriotic War, take an honorable place in the international community, and become one of the co-founders of the UN.
Today, the Belarusian people are united in choosing a strategic course for the development of a strong, sovereign and prosperous country. We, Belarusians, are peaceful people, we are characterized by openness and goodwill, tolerance and responsiveness, loyalty and nobility, care and attention. We are reverent about our history and are proud of it. We will remind the world again that Belarusians are a special people, independently determining their path of development, deciding their destiny, capable of enduring and winning. And it will always be so.
The thematic exhibition presents books, encyclopedic and reference publications, conference materials, textbooks, articles from magazines and newspapers, which set out the most important historical facts and events of Belarus, the formation of its statehood, economic and cultural development.
The exposition is located in the elevator hall (6th floor) of the educational building No. 3 (P. Brovki St., 22) from September 3 to October 10, 2025.
