The significance of this holiday for the Belarusian people is difficult to overestimate, because thanks to the reunification of Western and Eastern Belarus in 1939, our country gained territorial integrity, and people gained a sense of national unity.
The Belarusians have chosen a strategic course towards the development of a strong, sovereign and prosperous country. Only the consolidation of Belarusian society, the unification of our people based on the ideas of sovereignty and independence allows Belarus to withstand any challenges of our time.
We, the Belarusians, are peaceful people; we are characterized by openness and goodwill, tolerance and responsiveness, loyalty and nobility, care and attention. We are sensitive to our history and proud of it, we value the heritage of our ancestors.
We have one homeland, the fate of the country is common and the dream of each of us is to live in a peaceful and prosperous Belarus. Only by joining forces and coming together we will preserve peace and prosperity on our land, the sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Belarus.
The exhibition includes more than 40 documents: books, encyclopedic and reference publications, conference materials, textbooks, periodicals, newspaper articles dedicated to the reunification of Western Belarus with the BSSR and the current stage of development of our state. The original manuscripts of musical works by composers P.Podkovyrov, E.Tikotsky, N.Churkin, written for the historical event of the reunification of the Belarusian people on September 17, 1939, deserve special attention.
The exhibition is located in the room 140 of educational building No. 1 (30 Internatsionalnaya Street) from August 28 to October 23, 2023.
