The Belarusian State Academy of Music announces the holding of the II International Choral Conductors
Competition named after Victor Rovdo.
The competition is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and the educational institution “Belarusian State Academy of Music”.
The objectives of the competition are to support the creative endeavors of young choral conductors, enhance their performance skills, enrich the national choral performance school with advanced international experience, improve modern choral conducting education, and popularize choral art.
The competition will take place on November 16-20, 2026.
To participate in the competition, contestants must submit the following materials to the email address vocal_hor@bgam.by by September 16:
- An application for participation in the competition using the form provided in the appendix (in Russian or Belarusian). For foreign contestants who do not speak Russian and/or Belarusian, the application form is available in English;
- A creative biography of the contestant;
- Two color photographs of the contestant in JPEG format with a resolution of at least 600 dots per inch (dpi);
- An unedited video recording of the competition performance with a choir, lasting from 3 to 7 minutes;
- A recommendation letter from the educational institution where the contestant is studying.
The deadline for submitting documents is subject to change.
