The Curriculum and Instruction Department is a structural unit that ensures the implementation of educational activities by the Belarusian State Academy of Music (hereinafter referred to as the Academy), as well as educational and methodological work in the specialities (speciality directions) of the first and second stages of Higher education within the framework of the training programs “Art and Design” and “Liberal Arts”.
The tasks of the Curriculum and Instruction Department are planning and organizing the educational process in accordance with the curricula and syllabi, coordinating the educational process, organizing and conducting the postgraduate work assignment and job placement of the Academy graduates who have obtained a Higher education, fulfilling the goals of the Academy in the field of quality within the competence, assistance in improving the quality and efficiency of the educational process at the Academy.
The main functions of the Curriculum and Instruction Department:
- monitoring the maintenance of the Academy documentation in the current state of the educational program;
- accounting and planning of the auditoria for conducting training sessions;
- ensuring the scheduling of the educational process, the schedule of training sessions;
- conclusion of agreements with practice bases, preparation of documentation for various types of practices,
- registration of documents on education and training, as well as their duplicates in the manner prescribed by the laws,
- preparation of draft decisions of the Rector of the Academy on the composition of commissions for the of students and the postgraduate work assignment schedule, issuance of certificates of assignment to work and certificates of self-employment to graduates;
- making proposals on the amount of teaching load for teaching staff of the Academy Departments for the current academic year;
- analysis of materials based on the results of ongoing and final certification;
- maintenance of state statistical reporting.
