VIACHESLAV LARIN

V.Larin is choral and orchestral conductor, composer, teacher. Graduated from Minsk Music School named after M.Glinka, speciality “Choir conducting” (class of teacher T.Albokrinova), Belarusian State Academy of Music, speciality “Choir conducting” (class of Associate Professor I.Bodiako), «Opera-symphonic conducting» (class of Associate Professor P.Vandilovsky), Graduate School (class of Associate Professor I.Bodiako).

 

V.Larin is laureate of numerous international and republican competitions and festivals; he has awards: laureate of II and III Open competitions of choir conductors named after People’s Artist of USSR, Professor V, Rovdo (Minsk, Belarus, 2011, 2012), winner of V International competition of academic choir conductors (Krasnoyarsk, Russia, 2012), laureate of VI International competitions of choir conductors “W strone polifonii” (Wroclaw, Poland, 2014); laureate and owner of the Cup of St.Petersburg XI International festival-competition among string folk instruments performers in nomination “Conductors” (St.Petersburg, Russia, 2018), participant of IV International competition of young conductors of symphony orchestra named after I.Musin (2016); laureate of V International competitions of composers “Youth classics” (Vologda, Russia, 2018); laureate of XI and XIV Open All-Russian competition of composers “Choral laboratory of XXI century. Music for childhood and youth” (St.Petersburg, Russia, 2018, 2021).

As a composer he took part in international art-project “Music written today” (St.Petersburg, Russia, 2019).

As a conductor he toured in Russia, Poland, Germany, Holland and the UK.

He worked with such formations as: student choir of Belarusian State Academy of Music, big symphony orchestra of Belarusian State Academy of Music, symphony orchestra of Belarusian State Academy of Music, chamber orchestra of Belarusian State Academy of Music, student choir of Moscow Academy of Choir Art named after Popov; youth choir “Art sonus” (St.Petersburg, Russia); Krasnoyarsk choir ensemble of soloists “Singing for you”, student choir of Academy of Music named after K.Lipinsky (Wroclaw, Poland), State Choir of Wroclaw Philharmonic Society; student choir of Academy of Music named after G.Dima (Kluzh-Napoka, Romania), State Symphony Orchestra of Pazargik Philharmonic Society (Bulgaria), Symphony orchestra of Brest Academic Theatre of Drama; chamber ensemble of Kostroma Philharmonic Society; orchestra of State Academic Chappelle of St.Petersburg.

V.Larin is a holder of scholarship named after A.Bogatyrev (2013), laureate of prize from Minsk City Executive Committee “for active participation in scientific, social and cultural life in Minsk” (2013), scholarship holder from the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the support of talented youth (2014), laureate of regional competition “Creative Olympus of Minsk region” in nomination “Creative youth” (2020).

From 2016 till 2020 V.Larin was the head of cycle commission “Conducting (academic choir)” and from 2016 till 2021 was creative leader of Youth choir “Brevis” of Minsk State College of Arts. From 2020 till 2022 was creative supervisor of chamber orchestra of Belarusian State Academy of Music.

At the present time he is the main conductor of Honored formation of the Republic of Belarus “Music Chappelle “Sonorus” of Minsk region”; a senior teacher of the Orchestral Conducting and Instrumentation Department and the Choir Conducting Department of Belarusian State Academy of Music, teacher of Republican Gymnasium-college of Belarusian State Academy of Music.

He is the author and art-director of Open competition of choir composers named after V.Teravsky.
