Catherine Doulova is a musicologist who heads the scientific and scientific-pedagogical schools in Belarusian theoretical musicology, Head of the Belarusian Music Theory Department of the Belarusian State Academy of Music. Author of two monographs and more than a hundred scientific and methodical works, including scientific publications in The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians (London), Die Musik in Geschichte und Gegenwart (Kassel), Belarusian Encyclopedia (Minsk), P.I. Tchaikovsky Encyclopedia (Moscow) and several others. Heads Editorial and Publishing Council of the Belarusian State Academy of Music, is a member of editorial boards of scientific publications: New Complete Works of P.I. Tchaikovsky (publishing house "Music" /Moscow/) and Schott 's, B., Sohne (Mainz); Encyclopedia P.I. Tchaikovsky (publishing house "Music " /Moscow/), textbook on the history of Russian music of 19th-20thcenturies (author team of Cambridge University). Regularly participates in scientific reports at international symposia, conferences and seminars.

Participates actively in the work of several councils in the Republic of Belarus: member of the Belarusian Academy's Board of candidate (doctoral) dissertations defense, Chairperson of the Council of Experts № 27 of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus on Art and Culturology, member of the Expert Committee of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus for the acquisition of works of Belarusian composers, Chairperson of the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus in support of talented youth.

Involved in the teams of a number of international organizations – "Council of Rectors of conservatories of countries-participants of the CIS ", Association of European Conservatories (AEC), International Musicological Society (IMS), Organization for International Cooperation in the field of art (Network for the International Cooperation in the Arts – NICA).

Under the leadership of C. Dulova in the Belarusian State Academy of Music are organized large international projects, including International Musicological Symposium "Contemporary Musicology in the World of Science" (September 1-4, 2009, Minsk, Belarusian Academy of Music).

C. Dulova is a member of organizing committees of several international conferences and musical competitions, such as the L. Alexandrovskaya International Vocal Competition , International Piano Competition "Minsk-2000", "Minsk-2005" and "Minsk-2010", M. Yelsky International Competition for performers on String Bow Instruments, J. Zhynovich Republic's Open Competition for Folk Instrument Performers and others.

Awarded with the Diploma of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus (2007), Diploma of the Ministry of Education of the Republic Belarus (2009), Honorary Diploma of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2009), Jubilee Medal Badge in honour of the 80th anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences (2011), Diploma of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus (2012). In 2013 was awarded with the "Honorary Rector of the National Music Academy of Ukraine" title.

In 2012 received praise from the President of the Republic of Belarus A.G. Lukashenko for many years of fruitful research and teaching activities, a significant personal contribution to the development of the Belarusian musical art.
