XXІX INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE

IN MEMORY OF L.S.MUKHARINSKAYA (1906–1987)


 INTERNATIONAL FORUM OF ETHNIC CULTURES

September 30 – October 2, 2020

 

From 30th September to 2nd October 2020 the Belarusian State Academy of Music conducts the XXIX International Scientific Conference in memory of L.S.Mukharinskaya and International Forum of Ethnic Cultures.

The Conference will be opened by the Scientific and Practical Conference of the Students’ Scientific and Creative Society and Student Festival of Modern Music.

Within the major part of the Conference there will be held scientific sessions, lections of leading scholars, roundtables, presentations of publications.

At the Forum of Ethnic Cultures it is planned to hold concerts and exhibitions, as well as musical and theatrical productions.

 

Topic areas of the Scientific Conference:

• Problems of studying traditional musical culture;

• Musical art of Belarus and the world: history and modernity;

• Sacred music in aspects of composer’s creativity and liturgical practices of various faiths;

• Outstanding artists in the space of musical culture (on the anniversary dates of 2020);

• Musical performance and pedagogy: ways to improve.

 

Topics of the roundtables:

• Field research of traditional musical culture in the Higher education system: results and prospects;

• Music and literature: issues of interaction in opera, choral and vocal-instrumental art.

Scholars, teachers of Higher education institutions in the field of musical art, staff members of research institutions, PhD students and postdoctoral students are invited to participate in the Conference.

Students and Master’s Degree students of Higher education institutions, students of secondary specialized institutions of the cultural sphere are invited to participate in the Conference of the Students’ Scientific and Creative Society and roundtables (detailed information and application form are placed in the separate information sheet).

The application for participation in the Conference (enclosed) should be sent to the e-mail: minsk_conference@tut.by .

Time limit on speeches:

report at the plenary session – up to 20 minutes,

report at the breakout session – up to 15 minutes;

statement at the roundtable – 5-10 minutes;

presentation of publications – up to 10 minutes.

Conference languages – Russian, Belarusian, English.

Travel expenses (travel, accommodation, meals) are paid by a participant personally or by a sending institution.

Form of participation – full-time, part-time.

Part-time participants should send the full text of the scientific article to the e-mail: minsk_conference@tut.by .

 

According to the Conference results, the publication of scientific articles is planned. The text of the article in the Belarusian or Russian language must be submitted to the e-mail: minsk_conference@tut.by. Each article is to be accompanied by a review and an extract from the record of the department or cyclic committee proceedings with recommendation of the article publication.

A scientific article of 14000–25000 characters must contain a short summary in the language of the article, a resume in English, and a list of reference links. The text of the scientific article is made out in accordance with the “Requirements” posted on the website: http://bgam.by/science/publication.

Articles that have not previously been published are accepted for publication.

The Organizing Committee has the right to reject the articles that do not correspond to the topics of the Conference and the current requirements for scientific publications.
